Guesthouse Maya is a modern 4-star villa with 2 luxury apartments, a private sauna, and an outdoor hot tub (available from May to October).
We are Maja and Mislav Cindrić, a family with 3 children from Zagreb. Maja is a kindergarten teacher, and Mislav owns a car tuning webshop.
We completely renovated our house in 2022 and started renting it out in 2023. Since we both love traveling and meeting interesting new people, we have seen many rental properties and gave our house a personal touch with everything you need for a perfect holiday.
Although we live in Zagreb, our wish was to work in tourism in the Croatian Zagorje region, in the area of Tuhelj Thermal Spa, which we consider an ideal place for a year-round getaway.
When we were given the opportunity to purchase a house in an excellent location, right in the center of the spa area, we decided to undertake a thorough renovation with the goal of creating a modern, functional, and comfortable holiday home.
The renovation was carried out with great attention to detail, and we completed part of the work ourselves in order to give the space additional character and quality. We placed special emphasis on amenities that allow guests to relax and enjoy a sense of privacy, such as the sauna and carefully designed indoor and outdoor areas.
We operate year-round because we believe that continental tourism has great potential in all seasons.
Our guests often come for shorter but fulfilling stays, regardless of the season. We strive to provide each guest with as much information as possible before arrival—from recommendations for excursions and gastronomy to outdoor activities and local attractions—so they can make the most of their stay. We are especially happy that our guests come from various European countries and often return, which we consider the greatest recognition of our effort and approach.
Although we live about fifty kilometers away, we are always available and at our guests’ disposal, as we believe that warmth, trust, and personal contact are the key to great hospitality.
